This is a great project to do any time of the year.
In the Spring, you can do tree buds, in the fall use beautiful golden leaves.
Save those daises sent to you for a special occasion!
Supplies needed
Clear Contact Paper, the clearer the better
flowers, leaves, lace paper, tissue paper, scriptures on paper
cutting matte
brayer or rolling pin
tweezers
Picture frame or heavy card stock (Small to medium)
Wire for hanging in window space.
Directions
First you need to collect the items you want in your picture,
any flowers will require to be flattened.
Then, cut the contact paper to fit, you will need 2 equal sized pieces.
Carefully pull back the protective paper on 1 sheet only.
Next, arrange all the item in your stain glass, this will take some time.
Make sure you leave a 1"-2" border all the way around sealing in your work.
Use the cutting matte to place the items evenly.
Start with your front pieces first, face down,
lay everything face down until you have all the layers on.
At this point, you will pull the other protective layer off the other sheet of contact paper.
Place this piece of contact paper making sure there is the 1"-2" border
Press from the center using the brayer to insure a complete seal and remove all possible air.
Roll out to the edges and repeat until all the air is removed.
Next cut the edges of your 'window' to fit in your picture frame or card stock frame.
Hang with the wire and enjoy.
For Adults
This project can also be done with real glass from a picture frame, you will need spray adhesive and you will spray the items as you place them against the glass, being careful not to slip.
Once this is done, you will need another glass to place on the other side.
Glue carefully just on the edges and place in the frame.
